Sonoran Sunrise Cacao
SONORAN SUNRISE is Back in Stock This Holiday Season!
As we all know, the cost of everything has significantly gone up this year because of import taxes, transportation and for many other reasons. These challenges are real for everyone and our hearts go out to all of the other small businesses. We feel you! While our cacao, spice and packaging costs have increased, ✨we have made the decision to keep our cacao pricing the same! ✨
Supporting the farmers as well as their craft and lineage, the biodiverse lands, and our employees are the most important priorities for me. Also, ensuring that you, our community, can continue receiving this offering without added barriers, matters just as much.
Thank you so much for being a part of this ever-growing community that values slow, sacred food. We will continue to celebrate the incredible work of the farmers and their families in Mexico and Arizona, who we are so proud to partner with. Your purchases directly support Masa Memory’s team, these farmers, as well as our work with soil and seed-bank preservation. I am beyond grateful for the endless love.
I feel SO lucky to do this work and to share cacao.
Love,
April

A cacao for CELEBRATION and CEREMONY. Thoughtfully mixed with low fermentation organic raw, Heirloom cacao from Mexico, alongside our mix of Southwest spices grown in Arizona.
Rooted in the memories of togetherness and her Sonoran desert homeland, Masa Memory’s Founder, April Valencia recalls the warmth of a low valley, mountain sunrise. The desert is an intuitive force, inviting all of us to move closer to the light inside of ourselves and all beings. This is a Bright, Heart Opening Cacao to share with the ones you love, for many SUNRISES to come.
Cacao, an ancestral food with sacred roots is used for ceremony, transition and celebration! It is also rich in so much body goodness: antioxidants, minerals, b vitamins and flavanols. We are forever honored to work alongside farmers in Mexico, to create this product, who are preserving biological diversity, soil health and the origin story of food.
In addition to using the highest quality organic ingredients available, our bags and labels are 100% plant-based and compostable!
